• To promote the development of international trade and business opportunities for Western Australia

• To provide a forum for the exchange of information between the members

• To enhance co-operation between the members

• To provide a focal point for government, business and overseas visitors wanting to explore international trade and commerce opportunities

• To seek links and affiliations with organisations that have similar objectives to the IBC

• To raise the cultural awareness in Australia of the country(s) or region(s) represented by its members including promoting community based cultural events that support bi-lateral and multi-lateral relationships.
